As mentioned in a previous entry, I’ve completely revamped my skincare routine based on recommendations from Beautypedia. These are some of the products that I purchased and have been using for the past couple weeks. I really love all of them so far!
[amazon_link id=”B00479FTD8″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ][/amazon_link] [amazon_link id=”B00479FTD8″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Olay Foaming Face Wash for Sensitive Skin[/amazon_link] This cleanser is incredibly gentle and leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturized (I can’t say any other cleanser has done that for me)…and best of all I only paid around $4 for it! I use it in combination with the [amazon_link id=”B0043OYFKU” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Olay Pro-X Cleansing System [/amazon_link] (Clarisonic dupe =p) which provides a little extra exfoliation and leaves me skin super soft. The only thing I wish is that it was better at removing makeup. Even if I use this cleanser twice (once by itself, and again with the cleansing brush), not all of my makeup is removed…and I barely wear any to begin with! I use a makeup wipe beforehand, and then use this cleanser. I find that works best for me. [amazon_link id=”B000QX8TQ8″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ][/amazon_link] [amazon_link id=”B000QX8TQ8″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Clinique Mild Clarifying Lotion[/amazon_link] My skin is a bit breakout-prone (especially on my forehead), so I decided to give this toner/mild exfoliant a try. I’ve started to avoid toners with alcohol like the plague, so I knew none of Clinique’s other toners would work for me (as well as a lot of toners on the market). This one is super gentle and does not leave my skin dry whatsoever (even more gentle than my Lush toner that I was using previously, which wasn’t really doing anything noticeable for my skin). I love that this toner contains 0.5% salicylic acid because I don’t need a separate BHA/exfoliant in addition to it. I really do wish that it contained at least 1% salicylic acid to help with blemishes, but I still find it to be effective. Unlike my Lush Imperialis moisturizer (which I still use at night), this moisturizer contains SPF 15 so it eliminates having to do that step in my routine in the morning…at least for days where I’m not in the sun very heavily (in which case I’ll use at least SPF 30). It has a clean fragrance (slightly sunscreen-y, but nothing overwhelming). It moisturizes much better than I thought it would, if not better than Imperialis! The pump is also a huge plus because the product is not exposed to air.

Gosh, I haven’t used a toner in years, but I’ve been thinking lately that I should just because I’m feeling more oily since the heat hit! I like the sound of the moisturizer too, I need a lighter lotion for summer!!

Great reviews! I love the Yes to Carrots line 🙂
By the way how do you like the Pro X? I’ve been looking for something similar to the Clarisonic but so many companies are doing things like it now it’s hard to choose!

@Gracey I really like it! Of course, I haven’t tried the Clarisonic or any of the other versions so I can’t really compare the two…but I would definitely suggest getting the Olay if you want to try it out, and I’d imagine the results are very similar to the Clarisonic.
