I celebrated my 30th birthday last Tuesday (and honestly for most of the week too). The whole week was awesome and it was probably one of the best birthdays I’ve had.
A lot of people were out of work on vacation last week, so that was a huge plus because I’m a big fan of peace and quiet. My coworker got me this lovely little arrangement here (this is one of 3 cat-related cards I received from people…I guess I like cats or something? 😉 ) and also some amazing cupcakes for the office.
That night, my boyfriend and I went to one of my favorite restaurants, Amada. It was delicious (as expected)! Afterwards we grabbed some ice cream at Franklin Fountain and walked around Penn’s Landing a bit. The weather was beautiful! There were also some gorgeous flowers involved, which I haven’t managed to kill yet with my awful blackthumb.
The rest of the week was pretty smooth sailing…not a lot going on at work and nice weather too. On Friday, after a very nice brunch at Sabrina’s and an equally nice (and long) walk along Kelly Drive, I celebrated again with a bunch of my friends. We went to City Tap House and then got some ice cream (well, gelato) at Capogiro afterwards. I may have had ice cream everyday this week but I’m not complaining.
Saturday was a pretty lazy day spent with my boyfriend (wherein he managed to program my automatic cat laser to respond to Alexa commands. YAS.)Â Then we had pizza and, you guessed it, more ice cream!
Sunday (yesterday) was Easter of course.
It was also kind of a 2 birthday celebration (my mom’s birthday is this week). We went out to San Nicola for dinner, because we’re totally cool with having Italian food for Easter dinner haha! Here I am awkwardly posing with and cutting cake.
I’m so excited to see what this new decade of my life will bring! I honestly never thought a year ago that’d I’d be in such a good place right now. I’m a super lucky lady 🙂
