BIC Soleil Savvy Razor

July 10, 2012 by Melanie

I was recently sent the new BIC Soleil Savvy Razor from BzzAgent! I’ve been using it for a couple weeks now so I figured it was time to review!

I was so happy when this razor came in the mail because I had used up my previous one, so it was perfect timing. I usually use Venus, but I used to use BIC Soleil back in high school so I was interested in how their razors have developed since. The razor itself is adorable! Hot pink with little shimmers in it…and I’m totally a sucker for hot pink. This razor is kind of a new concept (at least to me). Its disposable, but instead of coming in a pack of 3 or 4 handles with razors that you throw away, this comes with just one handle and 4 individual razors that you replace when needed. I think this is a great idea because it cuts down on all the extra plastic waste which is unneeded because all you really need to replace is the blade. The handle itself feels very nice and almost like a regular razor instead of a disposable. Its pretty sturdy and has nice rubber grips around the sides.

This razor has a triple blade, pivoting head, and lubricating strips. It gives a really nice, close shave and I didn’t get any nicks or cuts when using this. One of the blades lasts probably around 2 weeks before needing to be replaced (I shave regularly, so if you shave less often then you can change it less). The only con I really have with this razor is that is doesn’t come with a little handle attachment to put on the shower wall. I’ve been using my Venus one to hold it. It doesn’t fit quite right but it’ll do!

All in all, I really love the BIC Soleil Savvy razor! I think the concept is great and I love the close shave it gives. Best of all, the cost is reasonable as well (around $7.50). Check out BIC’s website for more ingo!
