Jewelmint: Cavalier Crest Pendant

October 11, 2011 by Melanie

I finally got my first Jewelmint piece! Jewelmint wasn’t really something I thought I was going to participate in, but they had 50% off for your first piece as well as a BOGO, so I figured I’d give it a try. I honestly don’t like most of their jewelry (too crazy for me), but I fell in love with this Cavalier Crest Pendant necklace. Its the perfect length, and goes with so many different outfits. In the picture I’m wearing it with a Stylemint tee. This piece is a really great way to spruce up a plain basic tee as well!

The necklace I got as my BOGO was the Nicholas necklace, which is honestly the most god-awful piece of the jewelry I’ve ever seen. As if the pastel wasn’t bad enough, there was just WAY too much going on in it…totally not my style at all haha. Luckily I was able to sell it for a few bucks to someone on Facebook who really wanted it. Hopefully they can rock it much better than I ever could! 😛

I can’t say I had a really good experience with Jewelmint’s customer service/shipping time. It took twelve days from my order date for them to even ship it out, and I was told it shipped a different day than it did. It seemed like they were pretty overloaded with orders, though, so I’ll chalk it up to that. I’ll probably continue to skip months until something I like pops up, or if there’s a really good deal.

Anyone else subscribe to Jewelmint? Let me know your favorite pieces!

The piece you have chosen is gorgeous. I know what you mean though, it is hard when a site is so out of your comfort zone although there is obviously a market for their style. I may have to check out the site but I am like you I don’t like really ‘out there’ pieces. Thanks for this post. Its always good to try new things 🙂

@Becky thank you! Yea I really love the necklace 🙂 There are a couple other pieces on Jewelmint that I like as well…but I’d rather wait till a good coupon code comes along than to get one every month (as I don’t think many are worth the $30 lol).

[…] For my Stylemint tee this month I got the “Bixle” in “fanfare blue” (although in person the color appears more green than blue). I was about to get the charcoal color, but then I figured I had way to many black/gray shirts and wanted to add a bit more color into my wardrobe. The shirt is very soft and has a loose and drapey style with a shark-bite cut at the bottom. It kind of lays a bit funny because of the silkiness of the material…you can pretty much see the shape of anything underneath it, so I’ll have to be careful what I wear under it. Besides that part its a great basic tee for the Fall! I’m wearing it here with the Jewelmint Cavalier Crest Pendant. […]
