Last week I was in the Walgreens in search of a volumizing mousse. The one that I was hoping to get (by John Freida) wasn’t in stock, so I had to find something else that would hopefully work. I decided to pick up this mousse by Samy because the price was fairly cheap and it looked like the type of product I was looking for.
I’ve used this mousse with both wet hair and dry hair, curly hair and straight hair, blow-drying and air-drying. I’d like to say that it adds a lot of volume, but I haven’t found that to be the case. It did add a little bit of volume when I blow-dried it, but nothing that really blew me away. What it did do was define my curls a bit and block out some frizz, which was definitely welcome, but nothing much in the area of volume. I usually end up being disappointed in volumizing products because I can never really tell the difference in my hair, but I will continue trying to find a good volumizing mousse (or spray). Anyone have any suggestions for products that have worked for you? I have been contemplating trying the Big Sexy Hair Root Booster, but the price is putting me off. 😕
