Gilette Venus & Olay Razor

Its time to review a product from my Influenster Love Vox Box! I was super excited about this product the most, because I shave often (every other day) and this razor seemed like a great option since it contains a moisturizing bar right on the razor and also has 5 blades. I’m a fan of Venus razors in general, and their disposable ones are my usual go-to.

Another huge perk is the holder that you can place on your shower wall. I can’t tell you how many times I have to place my razor on the side of my tub only to have it fall in at least once per shower! I’ve been using this razor since I got it in my Vox Box, which was about 10 days ago.

Here are some of the product details as described by Gilette:

• Venus’ five-bladed razors shave you close and adjust to women’s curves for a smooth and comfortable shave, even over tricky shaving areas like knees and ankles.
• Olay Moisture Bars contain skin-enhancing elements found in Olay products: Petrolatum helps lock in skin’s moisture for less dryness and Glycerin helps offer that goddess glow! Just wet the razor to release a light lather – no separate shave cream required.
• As with most Venus razors, new Venus & Olay also features a rounded, pivoting head designed for women’s curves, and a soft-grip ergonomic handle for confident control, even in wet and soapy environment

I had previously reviewed the Intuition razor, which I mentioned disliking because the shave bar disappeared so quickly. I’ve found that this is not the case with the Venus and Olay razor. The moisture bars do not dissolve as quickly, and they are positioned in a way that makes sure there is an even distribution of the moisture bar when you’re shaving. Its super moisturizing and no additional shave gel or cream is needed! It was super easy to use this on my knees and other areas where I usually end up cutting myself (which I have not once with this razor). It gave me a super smooth shave!

All in all, this is a great razor and one that I’d definitely think about re-purchasing. This razor has actually just become available today (March 15th) in stores. The razor itself (with one cartridge) retails for $8.99-$10.99 (depending on location etc) and refill cartridges are $14.99-$19.49. Check out the Gilette Venus website for more info.
