Hello friends! Hope everyone is having a great 2014 so far!
Last weekend, Shawn and I went to Copper Mountain, Colorado for an event related to his job. It was a ton of fun! We tried tubing and snowshoeing…both were a blast. The weather was perfect (and actually much warmer than what its been here in Philly this week). Its absolutely gorgeous up there too, and luckily the altitude didn’t really bother me that much. Pics below:
The day after we get back into Philly (Tuesday), a big snowstorm hit. I think over a foot of snow fell…not quite sure what the totals ended up being. Luckily it wasn’t too bad getting into work the following day, even though we shouldn’t have been open anyway (still bitter).
Looking forward to getting a lot of cleaning related things done this weekend since I wasn’t home all last weekend. The kitty is well, though still scratching himself a bit. I’ve set up a couple humidifiers around the condo hoping that’ll make the air less dry.
I signed up for this program called emeals yesterday (I should mention everytime I try to type that it always ends up as “emails”). Its a service that basically puts together dinners for you each week based on a meal plan that you choose. It’ll give you the recipes and the list of ingredients. I think this could be interesting because I tend to get bored with the same old thing and I’m not super creative when it comes to searching for new things to try on my own. As for the saving money part though, not completely sure of that yet (since it looks like a lot more ingredients than I usually buy each week) and a lot of the recipes are for things I’m not used to making, but we’ll see how it goes! I signed up for their shortest plan (3 months) just to test it out. I already know I’m going to have to sub out a lot of the side salads for the boyfriend who doesn’t eat salad haha.
Click the banner below if you want to sign up, although I’ll definitely post a full review after trying it out for a month to let you know my thoughts:

emeals sounds like a great program. I just wish you didn’t have to pay for you. I look forward to hearing about your experiences with it.
