Montagne Jeunesse Peel Off Mask

December 19, 2011 by Melanie

Montagne Jeunesse Face Mask in “Juiced Cucumber”

I received this product in my Influenster Holiday Vox Box! I was really excited about trying it, because I’ve seen these masks in drugstores and other places but have never ended up buying them. The flavor I got was “Juiced Cucumber”. The consistency of the mask before putting it on was a gel, and it went on smoothly…the trial size that I got was enough to cover my entire face without an issue.

Right after putting it on, I could feel my face stinging a little. Immediately I knew that it must contain some kind of alcohol (it also smelled like a fruity cocktail!), and sure enough the first two ingredients listed (after water) are “Alcohol denat” and “Polyvinyl alcohol”. Alcohol really isn’t good to put on your face, but I kept it on because I figured it was just a one time thing and wouldn’t do a whole lot of damage. I left it on for about 20 minutes, and then peeled it off…which is seriously the coolest part of this mask! Its like peeling plastic skin off your face (which sounds kind of gross, but I thought it was fun haha). Most masks I’ve tried are extremely messy and get all over the place when you try to take them off. This mask was so simple…you don’t even need water or anything after peeling it off since your face is dry. I can’t say I really noticed a difference in my skin. For what its worth, it did feel more refreshed and it didn’t appear to have agitated my skin at all.

Overall, I probably wouldn’t use these masks very often because of the alcohol, but I think it was a fun experience nonetheless. I could see buying a ton of these masks and using them as part of a girls’ night or something with your friends, since they are a lot of fun to use, super easy to remove, and really inexpensive!

Have you ever tried any of the Montagne Jeunesse masks before? What did you think? You can check out all of the different Montagne Jeunesse masks on montagnejeunesse.com!

These masks definitely seem like one of those fun things to do for girls nights or something-and then never again! I agree-I don’t think putting all that alcohol on your face is a good idea. Especially if it smells like a cocktail!
