Just posting a quick update to let you guys know that a new theme is up. Its Spring-y and colorful. I made a conscious effort to NOT use pink for once (well, theres the red-ish sort of pink color but its not my usual pink). I also finally figured out how to use custom fonts thanks to a WordPress plugin called “AnyFont”. You have no idea how long I’ve been trying to accomplish that haha.
Its been gorgeous and in the 70’s all weekend which is awesome. Yesterday I went out with the bf for some shopping and such. We went to Cracker Barrel for lunch (I had never been there before! I got the roast beef sandwich and it was delicious). After lunch, our first stop was Barnes & Noble. Since I just finished the last book in The Hunger Games series (it was great!), I needed something else to read. I ended up getting “The Art of Racing in the Rain” by Garth Stein because it got some good reviews…and its narrated by a doggie, so thats just awesome. =p
Next I went to DSW to get some shoes. I’m usually inundated with choices when I go to DSW, but this time I had to look around a lot to find anything. Is there some rule that shoe stores can’t sell close-toed shoes in the spring or something? There were seriously like no options! Just row after row of sandals or open-toed dress shoes. Finally I found some nice brown pumps (they were these ones, but without the snake-skin) in the clearance section, which worked out better anyway because they were 50% off which took them down from $70 to $35. Then I used my $10 rewards coupon and my $5 birthday coupon together, so they were only $20 when all was said and done. Even the lady ringing me up was like “wow, what a steal!”. Shawn was also able to pick up some new dress shoes for work.
Next I went to Ulta where I picked up the infamous NYX jumbo eye pencil in “milk”, which was the main thing I went there to get since they’re not available at Sephora or any drugstores, at least to my knowledge. I also wanted to get a base coat for my nail polish, and there was a certain brand I wanted but I couldn’t find it anywhere. I dragged Shawn around the entire store while I tried to look for it…he was none to happy about that haha. Finally I just settled on getting the Benefit B. Right Skincare Trio. Upon getting home, though, I realized that it wasn’t really what I wanted. It included two moisturizers (why, I’m not sure) and an exfoliater. For some reason I thought it had a cleanser and an eye cream instead, but neither of those were included, so it looks like I’ll be returning it. I’m sure the products are nice, but I’m not really looking for a moisturizer right now.
This post was longer than I thought it would be. I’m feeling super lazy right now but I have so much to do and the apartment is a mess. blehhh. Guess I should get on that.
Mini Reviews (Week 2): Juice Beauty
This week I’ll be reviewing 5 products that I recieved from Juice Beauty. I’ve only been using these products for a week, so the reviews will not be that in-depth…more of a first impressions sort of thing. Two of these are full-sized products and the other 3 are… read the rest

Love the new theme! And your tagline, lol.
I haven’t read The Hunger Games yet but I’ll probably jump on the bandwagon soon. I’ve heard a ton of good things about it.

@Cara, thanks! I wasn’t sure about the tagline…I was gonna either change it or take it down, but I’m gonna leave it up now haha
I have the first 2 books if you’d want to borrow them…just let me know.
