I realized that I have 3 different lip products right now that are called “lip butters”. Do they all live up to the name? Here are my thoughts!

- Revlon Lip Butter in “Pink Truffle”
- Korres Lip Butter in “Quince”
This is a really nice feeling balm with a great amount of color. Almost a little too much color, but a tiny bit less pigmented than the Revlon lip butters. The finish of this lip butter is really interesting because its more matte, which I haven’t found in many other lip balms that I’ve tried that all have a glossy finish. The only thing I don’t like about this product is that its in a tub and not a stick. Regardless, I think I will pick up another one in the future! The “Mango” color looks gorgeous. My Rating:

- Yes to Carrots Lip Butter in “Sweet Fig”
I recently received this lip balm as a gift with purchase when I bought anther Yes To product. Its your pretty standard chapstick that goes on clear, but what I love the most about it is the scent! It smells so sweet and yummy and exactly like fig, and it lasts fairly long on your lips and really conditions them well. I wish it went on a little smoother (it kind of tugs at your lips more than glides), but for only $3 I think this is a pretty good lip balm. Definitely the most “butter-like” of the 3.My Rating:
I’ve been meaning to do a full review on this, but just haven’t gotten around to it. These have been really hyped up so I was so excited to finally see them in my CVS. I picked up the colors “pink truffle” and “strawberry shortcake”, but the strawberry was way brighter on me than I was expecting so I returned it. The pink truffle is also a bit too dark on me but its okay and is still a pretty color. These are honestly way more pigmented than I thought they would be (which is, for me, more of a negative). They are also slightly drying, and remind me more of a moisturizing lipstick than a sheer tint lip balm. They don’t last particularly long on the lips, but I wasn’t really expecting them to (I don’t think they are advertised as long wearing). I probably won’t be picking up another Revlon lip butter, but I’ll use the one I have.

So as far as pigment goes, Revlon definitely wins, but Yes to Carrots wins for the most moisturizing. My favorite would have to be the Korres, because it is a little bit of both!
Have you tried any of these lip butters? Which is your fav?

Great review! haha Its so funny how we agree on the same things. I need to look into the other 2. Thanks!

I have a Korres butter in just clear and I really like it. I haven’t tried the other two even tho I’ve heard lots of stuff about the Revlon ones. They just aren’t my cup of tea.

Ooh, I think I will keep an eye out for the yes to carrots butter. I wish the korres was a stick too. Thanks for sharing these.
