Total Cat Mojo Live!

November 12, 2018 by Melanie

November has been flying by! Its been pretty jam-packed too, and in less than 2 weeks we’ll be in the Florida Keys!

Last night we saw Jackson Galaxy (of My Cat From Hell fame) at The Fillmore for “Total Cat Mojo Live” which was pretty cool. He talked about cats (obviously) and a bit about how he started working with them. Watching his show back in 2012 was what gave me the idea to adopt my first cat, Charles, so I guess my cat lady status can be owed to him lol! Here are a few photos (and yes, the “My Cat from Hell” drink was delish)…

We did some fun things earlier in the month, too…a star watching party in Batsto and bowling for my friend’s birthday (and I didn’t suck too terribly either haha). This weekend we’ll be going out for my other friend’s birthday, and then its Thanksgiving, and then vacation time. I’ll be honest, I’m a little nervous about leaving Jesse (we have a pet sitter coming), but I’m always nervous about him. Literally always. =/ Hopefully I can still manage to have fun and enjoy the warm weather.

Kind of short update, but I’m sure I’ll have more to post once we get back from our trip 🙂 Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Can you go into a little more detail as to the show? My daughter wants to attend the one in Phoenix in December. I’m trying to figure out exactly what type of show it is.

    1. Are there live cats on stage?
    2. Did you buy the meet&greet and was it worth it?
    3. Was it mostly just a prepared speech, and is there any benefit to getting good seats closer to the stage?

You’re the only person on the internet I’ve seen who has actually been to one of the 2 shows that has already happened, and I’m really trying to figure out what to expect.

Thanks so much for your help.

Hi David! Thank for your comment and I am SO SO sorry for the extremely late reply…I never received an email notification of your comment and I just happened to check my comments page! Even though the tour has passed, I’m happy to answer your questions in case anyone else is interested if the Total Cat Mojo tour returns 🙂

      1. Nope, sadly no cats at Jackson’s show! Although there’s another show called Acrocats if your daughter is interested in that which features awesome rescue cats doing tricks! More info at circuscats.com. Jackson’s show mostly consisted of talking about the history of how cats have been domesticated, what drives them towards eating, playing, the best environments for them etc.
      2. I didn’t buy the meet & greet so I can’t comment to that…I imagine its just a matter of meeting him and maybe being able to take a picture and ask a quick question. I’m not sure it would be worth it unless you really would like to meet him or ask something specific.
      3. It was definitely mostly pre-prepared, although there’s probably a few points scattered throughout that may have to do with the specific location. For instance, the season finale of My Cat From Hell took place in Philly with a couple local TNR organizations, so he talked a bit about that and there were some of the people he worked with in the audience. I wouldn’t say closer seats would have been that worth it (we sat near the back). He did play the guitar which was cool, and we were able to see/hear it fine where we were. The venue was also not very large.

Hopefully you guys were able to go in December and enjoyed it! If not, I’m sure he’ll probably have another tour at some point 🙂
