Candles By Victoria

July 11, 2011 by Melanie

I have been a huge lover of Candle’s By Victoria candles for over 2 years now, so I’m super excited to finally do a review!

Candles by Victoria is a small independent candle company located in Van, Texas that sells very high quality and fragrant candles. There are hundreds and hundreds of yummy scents to choose from (you could literally find any scent you want, I’m sure) in a variety of different sizes, shapes, and jars. And the prices are great as well (much cheaper than Yankee Candle). The scent strength on CBV candles are much stronger than candles from other companies that I’ve tried. I can usually smell the candle even if its not burning! The wax itself (if you feel it when the candle is not burning) is also extremely creamy and smooth and burns very evenly. I’ve tried a few other candles from other companies over the past couple years (out of convenience or because I saw one that looked cute) but they don’t really hold a candle (pun intended!) to CBV, especially when it comes to fragrance.

This 9 oz candle in “Rose” is one of my most recent purchases. The 9 oz country jar candles are my favorite because they’re the perfect size and burn really evenly. I originally had a wax tart in “Rose” about a year ago and I am a huge lover of Rose scents. This candle smells amazing…like perfect fresh-cut roses. I keep it by my nightstand and my bedroom smells like a garden!

This is another candle I purchased in my most recent order. I wanted something that was a more neutral color (and in a nice jar) to put on our dining room table so that it would match the decor. The scent is in “Oatmeal, Milk, and Honey”. For some reason, I thought this candle would be white, but the yellow color looks nice as well! It smells absolutely delicious and the scent is very true to the name. It smells very sweet and strongly of honey. Yum! The jar is also extremely elegant looking, and I am considering getting the larger sized jar once this one is used up. You can find this particular jar on page 9 of the website in the candle section.

I’d highly suggest checking out Candles By Victoria! They are definitely the best candles I’ve ever used, so if you are a candle fan, I’m positive that you’ll love them! If you can’t burn a candle for whatever reason (such as being in a dorm room), they also have some really pretty tart warmers and their wax tarts come in all of their scents (you get a free wax tart with every order, too!). You can find out more about Candles By Victoria on Facebook, Twitter and Youtube.

These sound yummy! I will definitely check out the site. I am always looking for good candles that aren’t super expensive. I like Yankee, but they are just way too much!

I’m tired of candles that smell good in the jar but then you don’t smell it at all when they’re lit! And I just can’t bring myself to spend $20, $30 or more on a candle that does smell! I’m definitely keeping these in mind when my mom’s birthday comes around bc she’s obessed with candles 🙂

Those sound pretty awesome! My mom is very sensitive to scents to she doesn’t like when I burn candles in the house 🙁
