Mini Reviews: Aussie, Covergirl, Rimmel

July 12, 2011 by Melanie

Here are some mini reviews on some products I have been using the past week or so…all affordable drugstore products!

[amazon_link id=”B000GCW1P4″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Aussie Deeeeep 3 Minute Miracle Moisture Treatment 8 oz.[/amazon_link] [amazon_link id=”B000GCW1P4″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Aussie Deeeeep 3 Minute Miracle Moisture Treatment[/amazon_link]
After using up my previous hair mask/deep conditioner, I was on the lookout for something new. Since I’ve promised myself not to spend a fortune on hair care products anymore, I wanted to find something comparable at the drugstore. I’ve always wanted to try this deep conditioner, and I had heard great things about it from youtube! I love the squeeze bottle…its so easy to use. I was incredibly surprised by this conditioner…it made my hair soooo soft, and it was super cheap too! (only $4). So glad I purchased this! I am considering using it as my daily conditioner.

[amazon_link id=”B0045VUTII” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]COVERGIRL Natureluxe Gloss Balm - Marble[/amazon_link] [amazon_link id=”B0045VUTII” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Covergirl Natureluxe Gloss Balm in “Marble”[/amazon_link]
I actually didn’t even mean to get this product…it was in a recent drugstore.com order I purchased. The label was coming off a little and had stuck itself to the box of the moisturizer I got. I am not sure at all if it was supposed to be included, but something tells me it wasn’t and that it was an accidental “gift”. Lucky me! I actually really like this balm. Despite not being as great as other balms I’ve tried (its not that long lasting or anything and kind of smells like Bonnie Bell), it gave me the perfect amount of color on my lips. If you’re looking for a good tinted balm with a gloss finish, I would definitely suggest getting this….just keep in mind that you may have to reapply often.

[amazon_link id=”B0052Z85T6″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Rimmel Soft Kohl Eyeliner Sable Brown[/amazon_link] [amazon_link id=”B0052Z85T6″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Rimmel Soft Kohl Eyeliner in “Sable Brown”[/amazon_link]
I had been using Covergirl’s Perfect Blend eyeliner in “Black” for years on my waterline, but recently decided that I wanted to use brown on a daily basis for a less dark look. So, of course, I purchased the same eyeliner in brown. Well, it was terrible. It did not show up at all on my waterline, and the pencil itself was very hard and did not deposit any color. Huge waste of money! After doing a little research, I picked up this (much cheaper) eyeliner and I absolutely love it! Its incredibly soft, and the brown color deposits on my waterline with ease…no more rubbing it into my eyes to try to get the color to show! I plan on purchasing one in black and white as well because I love it so much.

Don’t forget to enter my giveaway! I’m giving away a sugar scrub, bubble bath, foundation, and lip colors among other goodies! Click here for details and to enter.

I wish I would get some “accidental gifts” too! Lol. My sister swears by the Aussie mask, I guess I should try it now. Great reviews.
